  Our housemaid never ate with us, never touched meat, and always wore red beads on her ankles — even while sleeping. But what truly scared me started two weeks ago. Every night around midnight, I would hear water splashing in the bathroom. I thought maybe she had toilet issues or was just weird. But one night, curiosity got the better of me.
